Guided tour for adults
Experience the rich history between 1200 and 1800 of the White Town of Thorn at your own pace. History comes alive on this approximately 3 kilometer (75-100 minutes) walk through the beautiful village. You will hear about the lives of the palace residents, the schoolmaster and the founder of the village. You will also learn about the murder that was committed, counterfeiting, the secret marriage of a runaway Princess and the reason behind all the white houses. All information can be listened to, but also read. Additional images give you an idea of what the environment and the inhabitants looked like in the past. The tour starts in front of the church entrance.
This tour is also available in “Thoars plat”, the Thorn dialect.
This tour is not free, but you can make a free start and experience the tour. Once you have paid you can use all our tours for 24 hours. You can also use one tour on one telephone with two or three people.
Guided tour Chapel under the Linden
Take a leisurely stroll to the Chapel under the Linden. It is a walk of about a kilometer. You will find a route description under the button “extra images
In the meantime, you can listen to the stories about the chapel’s origins, but also about the “sick lady”, the founder lady who had the chapel built. Which is also provided with the necessary stories.
